Crescent Bay
Laguna Beach, CA 92651

Parking spots are limited to the curbside areas that allow it in the neighborhood. Public access is available via paved pathway off Cliff Drive and Circle Way (2 spots). There is also public restrooms and showers available. The beach is fairly long compared to many of the other coves in the area, but narrow, and fills up quickly.

Snorkeling Crescent Bay

Crescent Bay is fairly well-protected and is very popular with families on the weekend. You will usually see quite a few people snorkeling here, thanks to the clear water and ease of access. The rocky reef to the west end of the beach offers fantastic structure to explore. This beach drops off quickly near the structures and it is easy to see why scuba divers love coming here. Fish seem to be mostly garibaldi and kelp bass, but reportedly leopard sharks really enjoy the sandy stretches of the beach as well on occasion. I noticed a lot of spiny urchins along the rocks, making for beautiful contrast in the photos of this spot. There is also structure with snorkeling available at the east end from what I have heard, but I have not been to this side yet.
