Snorkeling California:
And Beyond

Tusa Dry Snorkel
The Tusa Dry Snorkel (Elite Dry) is a fantastic snorkel. It combines a dry top floater, purge valve, and flexible neck for a great underwater experience.
The dry top is a unique design that works to prevent excess water from entering the snorkel when a wave splashes over top, or the user dives under the surface. Now, such designs have been around for a long time, and none are truly 100% leak-proof, but the Tusa does a very good job of blocking most water intake. The plastic stopper does appear a little flimsy, but it seems to hold up well.
Should water enter the snorkel, the blow-out valve at the bottom allows for helpful removal as well.
The flexibile neck did take some time to get used, and does feel a little unwiedly at times. I've also used a solid neck snorkel and may prefer the feel to it over this flexible neck. Still, it's a minor gripe, and really doesn't interfere too much with the overall experience. In fact, the added flexibility really helps adjust the snorkel to a variety of head shapes as needed.
Overall, Tusa's Elite Dry is a sure favorite for me. You can purchase it at Sports Chalet, and also online at Amazon here.
